Henry Clarke – Spearheading RDP’s Work in Corporate Law

Legal 500-listed law firm RDP are going from strength to strength in their corporate and commercial law work, having recently completed a string of corporate transactions for SMEs across Wales, ranging from the acquisition of warehousing functions and a corporate restructuring to drafting a suite of commercial documentation for a SaaS provider.

Leading the charge is consultant Henry Clarke. Henry qualified with a Magic Circle law firm, and has extensive international experience in central Europe and the Gulf. He assists with RDP’s corporate clients and ensures a rounded service to RDP’s clients in other areas (including property) by contributing to the corporate, commercial and finance law dimensions of their legal needs.

Henry deals with a number of different areas of corporate law: the challenges of expanding SMEs (focusing on sales, acquisitions, external investment, share restructuring, group restructuring, and inward investment); leadership and transition, including corporate governance, company secretarial services, and shareholders’ agreements; commercial agreements (whether domestic or international), covering joint ventures, supply agreements, and framework agreements; and finance, covering secured or unsecured loans (whether bilateral or syndicated), guarantees, loan notes, and shareholder loans.

He is forward-looking, making efficient use of software to reduce the administrative aspects of legal work, and focuses his time on the valuable legal and strategic contribution that corporate lawyers can add to business. He has an MBA with Distinction from an FT Global Top 40 business school, so when talking to RDP Law you can be assured that you’re talking to someone who sees your business and issues through the lens of a business consultant as well as a corporate lawyer.

RDP director James Davies says:

“We’ve been delighted to see the growth in both our corporate and commercial offerings, and delighted with the work that the firm is being asked to advise on as we strive to become seen as an alternative to the regional powerhouses of Bristol and Cardiff. We look forward to expanding and deepening our offering in the months ahead.”
